Catching up on clinical literature for therapists

Drop ICD-11, DSM-5, peer-reviewed papers. Ask diagnostic and treatment questions, get cited evidence — never invented references.

Clinical practice is built on evidence. Therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists keep a working bibliography that grows every quarter — and stays largely unsearched because reading 30 papers to refresh on one diagnostic question is unrealistic between back-to-back sessions.

The problem

Generic AI in healthcare is uniquely risky: it hallucinates citations that look real (correctly formatted DOIs, plausible journals, fictional authors). Using those in a clinical note is malpractice-grade dangerous. What clinicians need is an AI that can only answer from the materials they uploaded.

How SeekFiles AI helps

  • Cited only from your uploads — never invents external references.
  • Refuses to answer when the literature you've uploaded doesn't address the question.
  • Hybrid retrieval finds the right paper even when terminology drifts (ICD-11 vs DSM-5 wording).
  • Mobile for between-session lookups when a client raises an unfamiliar concept.

A workflow

  1. Build a "Clinical Library" assistant. Upload ICD-11, DSM-5, your CBT/DBT manuals, and a year of journal PDFs.
  2. Between sessions, ask focused questions: "What does the recent literature say about exposure-based treatment for OCD-with-comorbid-depression?"
  3. Cited answer with paper + page. Use it to update your formulation, never to substitute clinical judgement.

What to upload

  • ICD-11 / DSM-5 (the parts you use)
  • Therapy manuals (CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR depending on practice)
  • Peer-reviewed journal PDFs
  • Practice guidelines from licensing bodies
  • Your own training notes

Evidence-based practice doesn't have to mean re-reading 100 PDFs. It just means being able to cite them on demand.
